Foil highlights are for the woman who wants noticeable brightness with precision—clean placement, strategic lift, and a finished result that looks expensive from every angle. At The Collective Salon, every highlight plan begins with a consultation so your tone, placement, and maintenance schedule feel aligned with your real life.
Why Choose Foil Highlights?
Foils allow us to create controlled brightness—especially when you want lighter pieces closer to the root or more impact through the crown and front hairline. Foil highlights typically need maintenance sooner than balayage because regrowth is more visible when lightness starts near the scalp.
Partial Foil Highlights
Partial highlights focus on specific sections (often top layers + face area) for brightness without going fully blonde.
Full Foil Highlights
Full highlights are woven throughout more of the hair for an all-over dimensional result.
Babylights (Ultra-Fine Foil Highlights)
Babylights are ultra-fine, delicate highlights designed for a soft, natural blend—think “subtle luxury,” not stripey contrast.
Face-Framing Highlights / “Money Piece”
A money piece is a face-framing highlight that brightens around the hairline to lift your features and add instant impact.
Foilayage (Brighter Lift, Softer Finish)
Foilayage combines hand-painted placement with foils to achieve a brighter result while keeping a more natural-looking blend.
Need Help?
Partial highlights lighten select areas; full highlights are woven throughout more of the hair for a more complete dimensional result.
Babylights are ultra-fine highlights placed in very small sections to create a soft, seamless, natural-looking blend.
Money pieces are face-framing, brighter sections at the front designed to brighten your overall look and enhance facial features.
Foil highlights generally last around 8–10 weeks, while balayage can last 12–16 weeks because the softer placement makes regrowth less noticeable.
Most foil highlight appointments fall between 2.5–5 hours, depending on density, technique (babylights take longer), and whether you’re toning after.
They don’t have to be. Healthy blonding depends on technique, timing, and at-home care—our approach prioritizes hair integrity, not rushed results.
